“Be hospitable to one another… minister to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”
– 1 Peter 4: 9-10 NKJV
A word that keeping appearing in my readings recently is “instrument.”
How can one be an “instrument” of God’s grace to others during these difficult times?
If you read the following quote from Henri Nouwen and substitute “instrument of God” for “gentle person”, you have a beginning…
“A gentle person treads lightly, listens carefully, looks tenderly, and touches with reverence……Let’s dress ourselves with gentleness. In our tough and often unbending world, our gentleness can be a vivid reminder of the presence of God working among us.”
May this Holy Week as you ponder the passion of Christ – His suffering and dying for your sins bring you opportunities to be an instrument of God’s grace for others.
Eagerly looking forward to Easter morning to celebrate His Resurrection….. He is Alive!
Lord, make us instruments of your grace, guide us to seize opportunities to minister your love and grace to others who cross our paths each day. Thank you for the love of your Son, Jesus Christ who died for the sins of all. Amen.
Easter blessings,
Roxie
