“Take up thy cross and follow me, I heard my Master say” these words from a favorite hymn kept running through my brain as pondered thoughts and words to share about Lay Servant Ministries. In my first SOUNDS post I shared feelings of longing for the familiar–face to face LSM classes instead of Zoom classes.
Today–I am thankful for “How to Zoom classes” that helped become comfortable with the format.
Today–I am thankful for teachers willing to lead LSM classes by Zoom.
Today–I am thankful for two LSM Zoom classes that have taken place and the connections created by those classes. Servant leaders from across the Conference have joined together to share and learn from each other. The evaluations have been positive and appreciative of the opportunity to participate in a class.
Today–I am thankful for a Zoom session facilitated by our DS Jon Strother that allowed 7 of our Certified Lay Speakers to be interviewed for recertification.
Today–I am thankful for the two upcoming LSM classes in our District that are filled with folks willing to be servant leaders. The Preaching class (May 15th) has a waiting list – seems another class needs to be planned….
Today– the message that resonates is many folks are willing and desiring to “Take up Thy cross and follow me, I heard my Master say” as servant leaders in our churches.
There is always room for one more…..come and join. More classes will be planned and will be posted.
Grace and peace,
Roxie
