While waiting for the coffee to brew, I stood at my kitchen window gazing at the pond and thought how ponds come and go in that back corner.
Recently the pond has been there reflecting the surrounding trees in mucky water sprinkled with grass clippings while during drier seasons that back corner has been dusty with little grass— reminded me of my walk with my Savior. There have been dry seasons as well as “wet” seasons of growing closer to Him with more serving and reaching out to others. Things that have helped me move from a dry season to a “wet” season is reading Scriptures and praying as I go through the day with its many activities – prayers for guidance and for others more than for me.
We can pray and God hears us. Did you know there ways to grow in confidence and skill when praying? Taking and teaching a Leading Public Prayer class opened my eyes to that fact!
I invite you to consider taking one or all of the Lay Servant Ministry classes listed in the LSM Pathway Prayer Team. The courses are: Basic, Spiritual Gifts, Leading Public Prayer, Lay Pastoral Care Giving, and Embracing Personal Prayer.
The Conference LSM Directors and Local Directors are working to offer these and other classes on line and by Zoom. For the current classes available – Check the website for the current classes offered at –
During these “mucky” times, how is your prayer connection?
Grace, love, and peace,
Roxie
