A message from your Lay Servant Ministry Co-Directors
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 15:13
I have claimed HOPE as my word for 2022. A powerful word. A word found often in scripture.
In this verse from Romans, Paul is making a request. Not a request that God just dump joy and peace into everyone, but that God help the believers to trust in God and this trust will bring them peace and hope.
Paul is asking for more than just human hopefulness. He is asking for a Holy Spirit filled hopefulness.
What a wonderful thought that we could have this hopefulness. Holy Spirit filled hopefulness. Hopefulness that makes us want to step out in faith for our Lord. To be His hands and feet.
May we all make 2022 the year of hope. The year we trust God more. The year we worship more, pray more, learn more, and reach out more.
Blessings,
Jackie
