Don Lee Camp & Retreat Center in the Sound District serves thousands of children and youth each year, sharing the love of Jesus Christ through the wind and the water. We are thankful for the prayers, love and support of many throughout the conference through two recent challenges — Hurricane Florence and the pandemic. We are most thankful that we have been able to deliver this ministry uninterrupted during the pandemic and with little disruption from hurricane impacts. Our fundraising is focused on a number of initiatives to improve the experience for our campers and guests and enhance the comfort, beauty and sustainability of our property and ministry for years to come.
These include raising funds to replace the remaining two original block cabins. Our Friends of Camp Don Lee Cabin is a cooperative act of generosity. Anyone who makes a designated donation of $500 or more will have their name listed in the cabin as a friend of Camp Don Lee. Three hundred donations of $500 or more achieves this goal.
We also are raising funds to: plant new trees to replace ones lost through hurricanes and septic improvements; additional rocking chairs for cabin guests; camperships to financially assist children and youth to attend camp; or gifts designated where needed most during these challenging times.
Donations may be made in honor or memory of a loved one for a meaningful gift with a long lasting impact. For any gift amount, we will be pleased to send a special acknowledgment card to your loved one, announcing your gift. In addition, with gifts of $250 or more, you will receive one of our new holiday ornaments, which can be mailed to you or your loved one.
You may make your gift electronically via our secure website, www.donleecenter.org/donate
