“Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always. Remember the wonders He has done, His miracles, and the judgments He pronounced.” Psalm 105:4-5
If we are to grow as Christians, we need both knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge is found in books. Wisdom is found through experience, through years of trial and error, and through careful attention to the Word of God.
Knowledge is an important building block in a well-lived life, and it pays rich dividends both personally and professionally. But, wisdom is even more important because it refashions not only our minds but also our hearts.
If we are seeking God, then we are watching for him and His work each day as we go about our daily lives. Seeking the Lord involves living intentionally with reliance upon Him.
When it comes to our faith, God doesn’t intend for us to stand still. He wants us to keep growing as a Christian and as a spiritual being. No matter how “grown up” we may be, we still have growing to do. And the more we grow, the more beautiful we become inside and out.
How do we seek the Lord? What might help us gain wisdom from God? We must be continually in prayer, studying God’s Word, and living intentionally.
My hope is that we gather together in a class in the near future.
Blessings,
Jackie
